Born in Indian Point he was the son of the late Gerald and Mary (Ernst) Zwicker. This began a life-long love of the sea, boats, and nature which he instilled in his family. Warren started his working career with the CIBC Bank and then went to work for Scott Paper Company, Truro retiring in 1994. Warren will be remembered for his work with Corrections Canada in touching the lives of others with his belief in their potential. It was through this work that he made many meaningful and lasting friendships, and for which he received numerous awards. He was a member of the Indian Point Fire Department, a member of the Oakland Indian Point Association and a trustee of the Union Church, Indian Point. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Warren will be greatly missed by his wife the former Helen Fiddes, daughter, Susan (Scott) Henderson, Old Barns; sons, Gerald (Michelle Wallace) Zwicker, Truro; Graham Alexander (Sandy) (Debbie)Yuill, Lower Truro; Jamie Yuill, Glencove, New York; and dearly loved grandchildren, Robbie, Jennifer (Jenny), Mari, Eric, Jeremy, Katelyn, Mason and Evan, Uncle, Frank Ernst, Lunenburg; Aunt, Mary Ernst of Moncton, cousin, Ron (Sue) Ernst, Lunenburg. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. A service celebrating Warren?s life will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Church, Indian Point, Rev. Lloyd Gillieo, officiating. Reception to follow at the Indian Point Fire Department. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Union Church, Indian Point or to a charity of your choice.
